Health Service Development Programme in Kujawsko-Pomorskie III

Redevelopment and Extension of the Ludwik Rydygier Provincial Polyclinical Hospital in Toruń.

The Project aims to support the implementation of a long-term development plan for the public healthcare infrastructure in Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province. It is a continuation of the programme already initiated in 2007, which resulted in carrying out the investments included in the Development and Modernisation Investment Programme carried out in Provincial Hospitals in the years 2009-2016.

The primary objective of the programme is to improve the efficiency and provide access to a broader portfolio of specialist health protection services, as well as improve the standards and quality of this particular hospital facility in Toruń.

Similarly to the previously implemented projects, the programme is supported by the European Investment Bank, on a continuous basis. It is also included in a list of major projects implemented as part of the Regional Operational Programme for the years 2014-2020.

The project includes:

• Preparing the construction site, including demolition of the old hospital and technical buildings.
• Erecting new hospital buildings:
  – Building 510 (H) – in-patient wards, an operating theatre, Intensive Care and Anaesthesiology Ward, Accident and Emergency Unit, Diagnostic Imaging Department, and Central Sterile Supply Department;
  – Building 520 – administration, hospital pharmacy, medical waste storage, and mortuary;
  – Building 530 – Infectious Diseases Ward, clinics and out-patient clinics;
  – Building 540 – psychiatric wards;
  – Building 560 – multi-storey car park;
  – Building 570 – technical buildings (oil boiler house, transformer station, garage for ambulances, underground sewage neutralising unit, and storage place for municipal waste);
• Landscape planning, access roads and underground infrastructure of the hospital.
• Redevelopment of the entrance from ul. Św. JózefaM
