The highest quality of rendered services requires state-of-the-art technologies, which, in turn, demand optimised and complex solutions. The Oncology Centre has been given a chance and made the most of this opportunity to achieve the planned goals, thanks to the cooperation with Kujawsko-Pomorskie Inwestycje Medyczne Sp. z o.o. (KPIM). One of the most important investments that have already been completed is the establishing of the Active Rehabilitation and Sports Park – the only complex of this kind in Poland, which is intended for people with disabilities and those undergoing recovery after oncological treatment, in order to provide them with access to comprehensive assistance, in the scope of specialist rehabilitation.
The Oncology Centre is also one of the first public health protection units to have changed its nutrition system for patients: instead of delivering food to patients lying in their beds, in the room, mobile patients go to a restaurant room, where they can eat during visits of their family/relatives.
KPIM has also modernised a bed maintenance and cleaning station, bed wards, wards of oncology surgery, urologic oncology, cardiothoracic surgery, diagnostic laboratories, and a department of microbiology. The company has also reconstructed the communication network in the Main Complex of the Oncology Centre, in order to improve communication within the centre.
The Centre renders comprehensive medical services, in the scope of highly specialised diagnostics and combined oncological treatment, as well as preventive medicine and health education. All services provided by the hospital, within the afore-mentioned areas, demonstrate an international level of quality.
Naturally, such an extensive scope of activities generates high costs and requires continuous expenditures, regarding infrastructure and medical equipment, and that is exactly where Kujawsko-Pomorskie Inwestycje Medyczne provide support.
