The Blessed Father Jerzy Popieluszko Provincial Specialist Hospital in Wloclawek is a unit divided into a number of buildings, all of which occupy a relatively vast area. Adapting the entire complex it to the Polish legal regulations requires particular investment efforts. For many long years, the hospital was undercapitalised, and there were also virtually no repairs done, since its erection. Consequently, the hospital requires a lot of changes. The first phase of the effort to implement such changes was to rationalise the costs regarding medical services rendered by the unit. One of the objectives was to merge the Provincial Specialist Hospital with the Regional Ambulance Station – it is now completed. By the end of 2012, the Departments of Urology and Cardiology were modernised and equipped, and Pavilion XIII was erected, including a helicopter landing platform located on its roof, all of which were carried out as part of the joint investment of the Provincial Specialist Hospital and KPIM. Pavilion XIII was commissioned in October 2013. It was designed to contain children and internal wards.
KPIM is currently carrying out repairs and expansion of building No. 5 that will contain Departments of Neurology and Ophthalmology, as well as clinics dedicated to such departments.
More than that, the company has a ready project, regarding further investments for the hospital.
